The Basics

Born & raised Pennsylvanian turned desert dweller! I can't get enough of our gorgeous mountains and picture-perfect sunsets. My favorite things are traveling, hikes with my husband, my dog Mucki & 2 cats Charley & Frankie,  faith,  fall/Halloween, eating pho, photography,  Starbucks runs, & the way children view the world.

I grew up in Erie, PA right on the (Great) lake. I moved to Tucson for graduate school and never wanted to leave! I've danced my whole life and LOVE to watch college sports. I'm a proud Penn State & U of A alumna so the Nittany Lions & Wildcats are my teams!

Education & Professional Background

I graduated from Penn State, University Park with a bachelor's degree in Human Development & Family Studies and minored in Sociology.

After graduating I moved to Tucson (site-unseen!) to attend the U of A where I earned my M.A. in Counseling & Mental Health. While studying at the U of A I worked as a Research Assistant for the Arizona Family Outreach Program in the Family Studies department, spent a semester as an Academic Advisor for the Family Studies & Human Development major, and was a Teaching Assistant for the department's undergraduate courses.

I completed my school counseling practicum at Empire High School in the Vail School District & was grateful to spend my year long internship at Manzanita learning under the wonderful, long-time counselor Terri Fletcher from 2013-2014. This is my 8th year as School Counselor here at Manzanita & 9th year in the swing of things in the district, thanks to internship! I also spent time working in a behavioral health agency in PA to complete my mental health practicum. I value time spent in these additional settings as they've helped shape me into a more well-rounded mental health professional.

I recently became a NCE certified Licensed Associate Counselor in the state of AZ. This is an additional credential allowing me to also practice as a mental health clinician outside of the school setting. I will continue my professional hours to work towards becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
